Sukhi Play

The first run

What the walkthrough asks you, and what happens once it is done.

The first time you open Sukhi Play it asks who is using the computer right now: a grown-up setting it up, or someone just looking. Choose I’m a grown-up and it walks you through four short steps:

  1. What this is. What your child will and will not be able to reach.
  2. Choose what they can open. Pick one or two sites from the suggestions.
  3. How you get back out. It explains the ✕ and the three-second hold, and lets you practise the hold once so you know the feel of it.
  4. Hand it over.

That is the whole setup. Afterwards the walkthrough never appears again, and the tile screen is what opens.

If the tile screen is ever empty it says so plainly and offers a button that takes you to the grown-up screen, with no hunting through files.

Made with ♥ by Mandeep Singh,
for his cheeky little Sukhraj.

It began with a three-year-old who pressed every key and clicked every button. So Mandeep built a screen where pressing all of them is perfectly safe.
